As an advertiser at Daisycon you can add your own banners and text links. Log in to the Daisycon system and go to menu 'Material' / 'Advertisements'.

Ad groups
Within a campaign you can create different ad groups. For example a group 'Banners Netherlands', 'Bannières France', 'Text links Netherlands' and 'Lien texte France' (adapt the language of the ad group to the target group you want to address).
Another classification we often see is banners by category. For example, 'Banners children's clothing' and 'Banners women's fashion'.
You can add different types of material to an ad group, just click on 'New ad' in the upper right corner.
- Image advertisement (allowed formats: gif, jpeg, png (max. 500 KB)
- Text ad
- Remote ad
- HTML ads (you can't add these yourself, but Daisycon will do it for you)
Banner material
Banners and images can be added in different formats. We support all common file types such as; gif, jpeg and png with a maximum per banner of 500kb. In general, the rule is that the bigger the banner is, the more it will be clicked. We recommend delivering at least the following formats:
- Email template (500x500)
- Medium rectangle (300x250 pixels)
- Large rectangle (336x280 pixels)
- Leaderboard (728x90 pixels)
- Wide skyscraper (160x600 pixels)
- Full banner (468x60 pixels)
- Large mobile banner (320x100 pixels)
We recommend keeping the kb count of the banner as low as possible. The smaller the banner, the shorter the loading time, the sooner it will be shown on a website. Banners larger than 500 kb cannot be processed.
Text ads
Text ads are short pieces of text which describe your campaign, a product category or maybe a specific action or offer that you want to promote.
HTML templates
You cannot add HTML material to the system yourself. Daisycon will do this for you. However, you can already prepare your template. Read about how to prepare your HTML template.
Remote banners
You can host your banners yourself. In this case, you only need to implement your banner URL into the system. Keep in mind though that Daisycon tracking links might not work anymore if you stop hosting the banner.
Tips
When there is enough relevant material available for different types of publishers to use, they can use their promotion well. Make sure the visitor lands on the right landing page. This ensures a higher conversion rate than if the visitor lands on the category page, for example.
Select 'Edit ad group' to change the parent link. This way you can change all links within the group at once. Here you will also find the group's settings. Adjust the targeting here, for example, to make it easier for (international) publishers to find the right material.
If you use a deduplication script or want to measure affiliate traffic with Google Analytics, for example, don't forget to include the correct URL parameters in the link. If you don't know how this works, check in the already created links if this is the case? A URL parameter, or 'Query string' starts after the ? (question mark) and are separated by an & (ampersand). If you are in doubt about whether you are doing it right, contact your channel manager. Read more about measuring affiliate traffic in Google Analytics here.
If you have new banners, you can choose to put them in a new ad group, but you can also replace existing banners. Publishers already using these banners will then automatically receive the new banners on their website.
