Especially for advertisers who use Magento-2, Daisycon developed an extension for the implementation of the conversion pixel. This extension adds the conversion pixel to the Magento success page without modifying code.

Setup of the Daisycon affiliate tracking extension
From this page you can download the Daisycon Magento-2 extension. There are several ways to install Magento extensions. This depends on your Magento-2 setup and we advise you to contact your developer for this.
Extension setup
In the main menu go to MARKETING -> Daisycon Affiliatemarketing -> Settings to setup the Daisycon conversion tracking extension. Click connect and login with your Daisycon username and password.
Multiple settings will be available to setup the Daisycon conversion tracking.
General Settings
Campaign
Choose the campaign for which you want to activate the conversion pixel.
LCC Cookie / LCC Network
The extension has an LCC (Last Click Count) functionality, which can be used to deduplicate transactions on other affiliate networks. This setting requires some adjustments in the Daisycon campaign settings and can only be set in consultation with your contact at Daisycon. Incorrect setting of this functionality will cause incorrect measurements. In the 'LCC network' field, enter the desired url parameter. The value of the parameter is always 'daisycon'. Example: network=daisycon.
Most importantly, never use a UTM tag for the "LCC Network" parameter!
Transactions that cannot be deduplicated due to a missing network parameter will have their transaction ID preceded by a "C". If all transactions are preceded by a "C", it indicates an incorrect LCC implementation. Please contact your Daisycon representative for assistance. If you do not intend to use affiliate network deduplication and still see a "C" in all transactions, disable the LCC setting.
Compensation
VAT
Does the amount in the pixel needs to be including or excluding VAT? Indicate your preference in the settings of the VAT field.
Field
You can setup a compensation code based on category-id or a (custom) product attribute. With this compensation code your Daisycon contact person can setup variable compensations.
Tracking
Extra 1 - 5
The conversion pixel can be enriched with extra variables (Extra 1 - Extra 5) such as payment method, shipping method, category-id or product attributes. These extra variables can be used to filter your statistics in the Daisycon interface. With these enriched statistics it is possible to easily optimize your campaign. These fields are not mandatory.
Temporary Workaround for Security Keys in Magento 2
This guide applies only if security keys are enabled in your Magento 2 installation.
Magento 2 security keys introduce a complexity in the Daisycon Magento Extension, preventing us from consistently retrieving the correct key for the redirect session. As a temporary workaround, you will need to temporarily disable security keys during installation and configuration until we provide a permanent fix.
Installation Steps:
1. Install the Extension
- Follow the standard Magento 2 extension installation process as described in the official Magento Installation Guide
2. Disable Security Keys Temporarily
- Go to Stores → Configuration → Advanced → Admin
- Set "Add Secret Key to URLs" to No
- Save the configuration
3. Connect the Daisycon Extension
- Go to Marketing → Affiliate Marketing → Settings
- Click Connect and log in with your Daisycon account
4. Configure the Extension
- Complete the extension configuration
- Note: Campaigns will not load until the extension is configured (we are working on a fix for this)
5. Re-enable Security Keys
- Go to Stores → Configuration → Advanced → Admin
- Set "Add Secret Key to URLs" to Yes
- Save the configuration
Important Notice
Each time you need to make configuration changes in the extension, you will need to temporarily disable security keys following the same steps until we release an update that resolves this issue.

Testing the conversion pixel
After a developer has implemented the conversion pixel or if you have activated one of our standard solutions, the operation of the conversion pixel needs to be tested. You can do this by following each step of the Test Instructions manual.

Auto validation of transactions
Auto validation allows you to automatically validate transactions in the Daisycon system. To use auto validation, you'll need to set up an integration for your store so that the Daisycon system can communicate (in the background) with your store.
Connect your Magento store with Daisycon
Follow below steps to set up the integration (do this in another browser tab to make copy/paste easier).
- Click on ‘System’
- Click on ‘Integrations’ (can be found in Extensions)
- Click on ‘Add New Integration’ (big button at the right side of the screen)
- Name the integration ‘Daisycon’
- Click on ‘API’ (can be found in Basic settings on the left side)
- Click the checkbox under ‘Sales > Operations > Orders > Actions > View’ (select this option)
- Click on the down arrow right of the ‘Save’ and click on ‘Save & Activate’
- Double check that you gave permission to ‘Sales > Operations > Orders > Actions > View’
- The four variables you see now, match exactly with the last four of our settings. Copy/paste them from the integration to the settings (last four fields) and click ‘Save config’
- Go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > Services > OAuth and set the "Allow OAuth Access Tokens to be used as standalone Bearer tokens" on YES.
- Let your Daisycon contact know as soon as the settings are done so they can be verified.
Auto approval settings
Active
To activate automatic approval, select ‘Yes’.
Shop url
Enter the store url. Start with https:// and do not end with a slash (/).
Approval days
Fill in the number of days after you would like to run the automatic order approval. Take the number of days into account the customer can return their order.
Approve order statuses
Select the order statuses that can be used to approve transactions. Default status for approval is ‘Completed’. Please make sure to select any other (custom) order status that applies for completed orders and should be approved.
Disapprove order statuses
Select the order statuses that can be used to disapprove transactions. Default statuses for disapproval are ‘Canceled’ and ‘Closed’. Please make sure to select any other (custom) order status that applies for orders that should be disapproved.
