Daisycon uses multiple matching domains to host its tracking technology. As an advertiser, you can configure your own (sub)domain as a matching domain. This allows your tracking links and conversion pixels to use your domain, for example: "https://example.domain.com".
Warning: This article involves advanced implementation steps. Familiarity with DNS and tracking setups is recommended.
Why use your own subdomain for matching?
Using your own subdomain improves the reliability of cookie storage, especially in browsers that restrict third-party tracking, such as Safari (ITP 2). Cookies stored under your own domain are more likely to be accepted and have a longer lifetime.
Additionally, AdBlockers are less likely to block your own domain, which can improve conversion registration. More trustworthy-looking URLs can also increase click-through rates on publisher websites.

How to set up your own matching subdomain
Step 1: Choose your subdomain
Select a dedicated subdomain to be used only for Daisycon tracking, such as d.domain.com or partners.domain.com. Do not use a subdomain already in use, and avoid names that indicate tracking, such as “click”, “tracking”, or “daisycon”.
Step 2: Share the subdomain with Daisycon
Send your chosen subdomain to your Daisycon contact person, or use this form. Daisycon will configure the subdomain on their servers and provide you with the required DNS records.
Step 3: Configure DNS records
Access your DNS settings in your domain hosting provider’s control panel. Add the DNS records provided by Daisycon, which typically include a CNAME and one or more TXT records. This step links your subdomain to Daisycon’s tracking servers.
Daisycon will verify your DNS records and complete the setup by enabling the domain in your campaign configuration.
Step 4: Update your tracking implementation
If you already implemented a Daisycon conversion pixel, update the pixel’s domain to your new custom subdomain. This ensures that conversion data is correctly routed through your domain to Daisycon.
Refer to your specific implementation method for detailed instructions. Setup requirements may differ for manually added pixels, Google Tag Manager, or CMS plugins.
Step 5: Test the setup
After completing the DNS and pixel updates, perform a test transaction to verify correct tracking. Your Daisycon contact can help you verify the setup. Read the test transaction instructions.
Important notes and limitations
- If you use a standard Daisycon integration such as Magento, Shopify, or WooCommerce, you must re-authenticate in the plugin or CMS settings after adding the custom domain.
- If you use the Daisycon conversion tag template in Google Tag Manager, add your custom domain as a custom variable. This allows you to select it in the template’s matching domain field.
A custom matching domain can enhance cookie performance, reduce tracking disruptions, and increase user trust, leading to improved click and conversion rates.
