Practice shows that affiliate programs that are actively managed perform better.
Daisycon is an affiliate network. This means that Daisycon facilitates a service between advertisers and publishers (affiliates). Daisycon makes technology available for this (access to its system and use of its advanced matching technology). Daisycon also helps advertisers to get the most out of their affiliate program. We do this by advising advertisers where necessary and encouraging publishers that fit well with the affiliate program to promote (more). Daisycon also offers a number of services to communicate with publishers. As an advertiser you can use these facilities. Proper management of a large affiliate program takes several hours per week. Some advertisers choose to outsource the management of their program to a media agency.
What kind of work is involved in managing an affiliate program?
Validate transactions
Affiliate Marketing is a collaboration between publisher and advertiser. Successful advertisers are actively involved in their affiliate program. Starting an affiliate program comes with responsibilities! For example, transactions must be approved as quickly as possible and in any event within two months. The faster an advertiser approves, the sooner a publisher receives his money. This encourages publishers to promote more.
Approve and invite publishers
An advertiser must also quickly approve (that is, grant or deny access to your promotional material) publishers who have signed up to the affiliate program. An advertiser must also do this as quickly as possible, and in any case within 10 days. Publishers can only start to promote an advertiser after they are approved for a campaign.
Advertisers can also choose to automatically admit publishers to the program. This improves speed. Keep in mind that an advertiser remains responsible at all times for the publishers admitted to the program.
Next to approving publishers that have signed up for the program it is also possible to actively invite publishers to the program.
Analyse performance
We strongly recommend that advertisers regularly analyse and review the campaign results and especially the most active publishers. Take a look at conversion rates, get in touch with publishers and ask them what they need to promote the affiliate program even better. The better an advertiser maintains contact with its publishers, the more actively they will promote an advertiser. As an advertiser, you also know better what publishers are doing, which can help prevent problems afterwards. An advertiser always has the right to deny a publisher access to its affiliate program, but will have to indicate this to Daisycon himself.
