Consumers often use multiple devices for online purchases. For example, they might research on their smartphone and then complete the transaction on their laptop.
Example of Cross Device Matching
A visitor sees a pair of shoes on a publisher's website via their mobile phone and clicks through to the advertiser. Finding it difficult to order via their phone, they switch to their PC and complete the purchase there.
Assigning Compensation to the Correct Publisher
With Daisycon's unique technology, we can match the click on the publisher's website (via the mobile phone) to the transaction at the advertiser (completed on the PC). This allows us to assign the compensation to the correct publisher. This process is called cross device matching.
Due to the frequent use of mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, cross device matching is essential to ensure publishers receive the compensation they deserve.
Like all of Daisycon's matching technology, cross device matching is completely anonymous, and the data can never be traced back to an individual. Read more about our privacy policy.
