Once all the necessary (company) details have been received, a new account will be activated for you in which the new campaign will be added. If you already have an active account with Daisycon, it is also possible to add the campaign to the existing account. This can be done in consultation with your account manager.
Onboarding process new affiliate campaign
Before we can set the campaign live, several steps need to be completed. These are divided into a number of (necessary) technical settings and a number of marketing settings. Below is an overview of all the steps, along with a link for each step to extensive documentation on the specific topic.
Technical settings of the onboarding process
Implement the conversion pixel: Setting up the conversion pixel to measure transactions is the most important part of the start-up process. Documentation: Implement the conversion pixel
Network deduplication: When multiple affiliate networks are active, we recommend implementing a so-called deduplication script or Last Click Counts (LCC) script. Documentation: Network deduplication
URL-Parameters: Measuring affiliate traffic in your own web analytics software, such as Google Analytics, requires URL-parameters (such as UTM-tags). Documentation: URL-Parameters
Testing tracking: An extended test transaction is required to test the functioning of the conversion pixel. Documentation: Testing tracking
Product feed: Product feeds are an essential part of a successful e-commerce campaign for many advertisers. Documentation: Product feed
IP-address(es): To avoid measuring transactions from your own environment (e.g. development environment), we would like to receive the IP addresses we need to exclude from the campaign.
Marketing settings of the onboarding process
Publisher commissions: A good compensation (structure) has a big impact on the success of a campaign. There are many different options for setting publisher commissions. Documentation: Publisher commissions
Promotion materials for publishers: Banners (gif, jpeg, png, html5) in different formats and text links can be added to the campaign in different ad groups. Documentation: Promotion materials for publishers
Campaign descriptions: A campaign description, addressed to the publisher, is required in English as well as the target language of the campaign. Documentation: Campaign descriptions
Logo: Website logo. Transparent background. 1:1. Minimum size: 160x160 (bigger format is recommended).
